Why Join?

The Lab is a place that is helping rich learning, support, and real action. We see it helping funders in a number of ways:

  • Collaborative funding strategies that are ready to use for making long-term, systemic impact
  • Access to expertise and insight from world-leading practitioners, activists and thinkers
  • Deep relationships with a powerful community of collaborators, peers and allies
  • Experience of a structured, facilitated process that’s also creative, collaborative and uplifting
  • A chance to be genuinely innovative, with the help of peers and collaborators

Basecamp Training

New joiners are required to take the Lab’s Basecamp Training, which is a way of getting to understand how the Lab works and beginning to explore different levels of change and possible innovations.

Basecamp Training consists of 6 x 2.5 hour online sessions across 12 weeks, covering:

Session One:
Meeting and working in new ways, life-centred economies

Session Two:
Collaborative models of change and how to work systemically

Session Three:
New approaches to funding

Session Four:
Sense-making and exploring personal and organisation leadership

Session Five:
Working with story and narrative

Session Six:
Working with nature and sustaining impact as an ecosystem

During preparation for and throughout the training, we’ll work with funders to join workstreams and/or support new workstreams to emerge.

Read our Basecamp Training Pack for further details.

Want to know more?

We know you may have lots of questions about how the Lab works. Please get in touch with Andres at andres@bio-leadership.org or Liz at liz@greenfunders.org and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Being part of the Lab has expanded my understanding around funding practices and foundational issues that are the roots of our systemic challenges. It has connected me to a wider network of funders that also value nature and its voice, while guiding us beautifully through the journey of learning, conceptualizing and acting collaboratively.
